Who is responsible

transcript1.com, part of the one1.dev group ("we", "us"), decides how the personal data described here is used. Send privacy questions and rights requests to [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details: your email and name.
  • Sign-in identifiers: if you sign in with Google, the identifier that provider gives us for your account.
  • API key hashes: we store a hash of each API key, not the key itself, and a short prefix to help you recognize it.
  • Usage and billing ledger: the minutes each transcription used, refunds, plan changes and top-ups.
  • Submitted media: the YouTube link or the file you upload, while it is being processed.
  • Transcripts: the text, timestamps, speaker labels and language we produce for you.

Who helps us process it

ProviderWhat it does
StripePayments and subscriptions
Soniox or SpeechmaticsSpeech-to-text for AI transcription. We use one provider per transcription, which receives the audio and returns the text. YouTube transcripts from captions use neither provider.
GoogleSign-in
Google AnalyticsCounts visits and page views on public pages

These providers process data for us or, for sign-in, at your choice. We share only what each one needs for its job.

How long we keep it

  • Your media is deleted 24 hours after the transcription reaches a final status (completed, failed or canceled).
  • For YouTube, the audio and captions we fetch stay only in temporary processing space.
  • Once we fetch the results, we delete the job, audio and results from the transcription provider.
  • Transcripts are kept until you delete them.
  • Account, usage and billing records are kept while your account is open, and as long as transcript1.com needs them for accounting records.

Analytics

  • We use Google Analytics 4 (G-RN6N37KGV6) on public pages: home, docs, blog, legal, contact, feature and use-case pages. It loads for every visitor without a consent banner.
  • It does not run on sign-in, sign-up or the dashboard. Nothing about your account, media or transcripts is sent to it.
  • It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_RN6N37KGV6) to count visits and see which pages people read. Google receives the pages visited, referrer, approximate location, and device and browser information.
  • You can block it through your browser's cookie or tracking settings or a blocker extension. The site works without it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Write to [email protected] from your account email. You can also delete a transcript yourself with the dashboard or the API.
